  • Stock photo: A Snowy Fox on a cold winter’s day. (Note to raters: The arctic fox turns white in the winter so that he CAN blend in with his surroundings. That’s the point of camouflage - to blend into one’s surroundings so that you are safer from predators and hidden more when trying to hunt so the prey doesn’t see you coming. If you look, I bet you can tell where the fox ends and the snow begins. I don’t know how I would contrast him more other than change his surroundings. If you would like to see a contrasted shot of this same animal, please check my gallery for the one of him in the springtime. There you will see him with his white coat being shed as he changes back to gray for the summer - again, so he can better blend with his surroundings. Thanks:-)
