Several ways'
One is to use a flash in a dark space with a shallow DOF.
Another is to carry a sheet of black mat board or similar material,this will work for other colors too, just slip it behind the subject,keep it parallel to the lens and the farther away from the subject the better.
Find a subject with a black wall behind it.
I'm sure others will come up with more suggestions but this works for me.

The trick with this one is to get the bird to pose in front of the white mat board .

ok i really need help, how do you creat a macro with a black background? I keep seeing them but i never could figure out how to do it without messing up my subject, i tried painting, the majic wond thingy that selects aotumaticly. I just cant figure it out. Really need some help here.

Hi, we have a new website www.seeyousurf.com where you can try to sell your surf pictures to surfers. If you have some time, try to join and upload some of surf photos. You can sell pictures directly to surfers and they can pay directly you with paypall, we don't ask you money. You can also share for free your surf pics with your friends. The important thing is to indicate spot and date of pictures so for surfer is easy to find theirself!

however this issue has been gone over and over before, to no resolution, check older threads in issues pages... SP has their gold mine, and theyre not moving on it...even suggested a "back" room, a seperate page with proof of age to enter for full viewing rights..

for now set your filter which can be done at the link for setting at page bottom, and hope none get through...then pretent like many its not there...or leave in moral outrage, as others have done as well..both are understandable roads to take!

I have no idea where to go to voice my opinion on the ShutterPoint. I think this site is venturing into the PORNO direction. If you look into the highest rated - what is the % of truly porno, rather than artistic, photography? I am not a prude. But -GUYS - let's move this category into a separate place, please? Or, ladies, girls - do submit some ARTISTIC (NOT porno) pix of naked guys!!! The testosterone based pix should not compete with LANDSCAPES, for God's sakes!

It took 5 days for my model releases to be approved. I wouldn't worry about it.
Laura is right...it seems to take weekend uploads a few days longer.

when I have uploaded portraits they are automatically "changed" to editotial for up to 4 days until SP confirms the release..I have also found that if I edited the portrait first with the table view verses thumbnail view, all my portraits got switched to the editorial for those few days...so I upload and edit only in thumbnails when theres a release.

I doubt the shirt is at issue..I have sold an image of my son with his guitar, which mostly blocks a pink floyd logo, Rita pointed it out to me, as maybe needing editoral, but you really need to LOOK hard to know its Floyd..and it had already sold as commercial. ( though thanks to her for being concerned!)

so my point is dont worry about the shirt unless after contacting SP they say thats the reason..I think its most likely a back load of release checking, as more nudes require it, and it is only the 2nd workday of this week...

It doesn't look like an editorial image to me at all...I can't imagine why it would have been changed.

This image has no editorial value as I can see. I just checked it and it's still set to editorial, I may try to clone out the writing on the shirt and if I can't accomplish this I may just remove it. I can't see any reason for anyone to buy this image for Editorial purposes.
