How can I improve Dance Troop?

Outside of the horrible lighting conditions what could have done to make it better. Note all the womens legs are in sync.

There was a performers waiting area to the right with the next group waiting to go on and they milled about and trucks and other dance troops to the right. In other words no good angles. It is the worst thing about performance photos. live action, and out doors setting people in the way plus getting them facing forwards is almost impossible.. I have a myspace and facebook page where all fifty photos are shown and you can go to view them if you wish.
