How can I improve Tomatoes?

The first thing that jumped out at me was the blown out highlights at the bottom of the frame on the tomatos. I would try to shoot that with your light coming in at a different angle to knock down the refelection coming into the lens. I would also add light coming from the rear left to put a small highlight on the whole tomato and add a little texture to the slices. I think it's a nice composition overall.
