Patrick,
I really like the atmosphere created in this shot, it is dark and kind of mysterious, even a little eerie.
However, the announced subject, the Motte and ruins, are barely visible and yet seem to be the theme in your description. Not a big deal probably, just the title has me looking for something that is not very prominent.
The photo is also a bit grainy at full zoom.
Hope that doesn't sound too nit-picky.

Agree with Mark - nice colour and very atmospheric. The grain looks more like film grain than digital noise and there is quite a fringing effect in the foliage at full zoom. The conditions may have been a challenge for the camera you're using but wondering if you did some post processing that might be responsible as it looks like there was a magic wand selection on the sky that didn't quite get everything.

Thanks Mark & Mike for your comments.
I was looking for this look in the photo as I took this photo around daybreak on a cloudy day. For the photo name I put mote in not castle as you can't see the castle right.
I did use photoshop CS6 om it.
