I captured this image of my best friend Chance sitting on the top step of my front porch one morning for a class I was taking. I really like the image but feel it needs something or that it's just a touch off. I would appreciate any advice or criticism that would help me improve this image.

This is opinion of course but I feel like the white door dominates the photo. The post on the left edge is a minor distraction also. I would crop out the post and try to dodge and burn the image darkening the background and maybe the shirt a little. That should bring more attention to your friend. Again just my opinion.

Hi Chris,

Thank you for your input and I will give it a try. I am still learning and have a long way to go.

Thanks again,
Tom
