Raymond, this photo is difficult for me to get a handle on. The dark background makes most of the photo indistinguishable. Also, there is quite a bit of digital noise, which suggests to me that the photo is basically underexposed, along with that high ISO. Without knowing the shutter speed used, I can't tell if that contributed to the photo being rather soft. I suspect this was shot in low light, in those cases I suggest you use a tripod and possibly a cable release, this will allow you to use a slow shutter speed and still get a sharp shot.

Thank you for your comment. I admit I was experimenting in haste at that time and it was a handheld shot. I'm looking forward to do more night-shots using the tripod. The slowest shutter speed on my camera is 30 seconds. I'd prefer it with bulb, but I guess I have to get used to what I have for now. Still experimenting and learning. Again, thanks for your advice.

I also highly recommend a cable release if you are in to night scenes. At least, use the timer function on your camera, so you won't have to push the shutter button. Also, if your camera has mirror lockup, suggest you use that. the less movement on the camera, the better the shot. Good luck.

I have an infrared remote release, I hope it functions the same as cable release. Will use my tripod more often. Thank you. By the way, I love your photos. You do an excellent job. Again, I'm very grateful for your guidance. Thank you!
