nikons V1 series

I looked at one at Target and found out that the camera is well built. The Nikon can shoot 1080p video and stills simultaneously. I do not own one but there is a message board chat over at DpReview. Many camera manufacturers are coming out with high performance point and shoots with larger sensors. The Nikon J1 and V1 are part of growing trend to provide people with compact cameras that take high quality photos and perform well under low light conditions. Before buying the Nikon VI I would wait to see what people think of the Canon G1X. This camera has a sensor the size of a DSLR with a built in zoom lens. It will have to be carried in a large coat pocket or camera case but is smaller than DSLR's. The link below will take you to the Nikon 1 System talk. Stick with your D7000 Laura. Although I can't blame them, this is simply a marketing ploy by Nikon to get consumers to spend more money.
