Happy Christmas, everyone! I hope you're having a nice time with friends and family.

Did you get anything photography-related for Christmas? A new equipment or accessory? Share this with us.

I didn't get anything specifically photo-oriented, but a new external HD that was highly needed.

my daughter got me a nice cleaning kit...hubby got me really really cool pro portrait software (editing) and a set of free standing mirrors for reflecting, and a defraction prism sheet that creates 100s of prisms at once...this will be FUN!

Merry Christmas

Photoshop CS5 full edition.
I am hoping I can get the Cannon 5D mkII as it does much better than the 7D in low lighting. Maybe a Newyears gift.

I wouldn't have to be so good if I had better equipment. A test shows the noise and grain level of the 7D at 320 ISO is the same as the 5D at 1600 ISO. This equals much better landscape clarity at low lighting. The 5D is slower but that means nothing for a landscape photographer.

Nice gifts all around! I'm happy for each one of you.

When Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 went on sale at Costco, I treated myself last month. For Christmas my son gave me a camera bag, which I just finished packing with two camera bodies, and all the gadgets and equipment I've been collecting. If I add any more, I'll probably get a rolling bag to pop it into. I also received a Nikkor AF-S 50mm f/1.8G lens, which was on my wish-list. Santa must have found that list.

Very nice Daniel!
Connie, that little 50mm is the best bang for the buck lens I have. I have a full range of 2.8 lenses in my bag now but still carry and use frequently that 50mm.
