Before you post a question

Please search ShutterPoint Forums, look through the Help section and Learning section to see if the answer is already available. Answers to a lot of questions are often already in there. Looking on our website can often get you answers to your questions quicker than posting in the Forum.

When posting messages...
Do

  • Help us or other members help you. When asking a question, please include as much information about your question or concern as possible. This will help other readers of the discussion group in determining a resolution to your issue.
  • Post a link. If you are referring to a web page or any image on the website, it is courteous to others to provide a clickable hyperlink to the recourse you are describing.
  • Stay on topic. Please post only messages that are relevant to the subject of the discussion.
  • Be nice. Please refrain from inappropriate language and personal attacks on ShutterPoint Forums.
  • Choose a descriptive title. This will help subsequent visitors to the Forum successfully identify your topic.

    Don't

  • Don't cross-post. Posting a message to more than one category is unnecessary and creates extra traffic for you and others to read through.
  • Don't duplicate threads. Before posting messages, please familiarize yourself with the forum. If possible, check to make sure your question has not already been addressed in a recent thread. If there is a current discussion on the topic of your interest, continue an existing thread instead of creating a new one.
  • Don't use capital letters unless you need to emphasize a word or two.
  • Don't get too personal. Remember, all messages are public and will be viewed by others.
  • Don't discuss the company policies and business practices in an offensive or aggressive mode. These posts, or entire threads, will be deleted. We gladly accept constructive suggestions posted in a civilized manner, not the rants aimed to cause damages.
  • Don't seek support for a specific issue related to your account - contact us directly instead.
  • Don't put your email address in any post.
  • Don't perpetuate off-topic threads. If someone makes an inappropriate or "spam" post, don't add more noise by replying to the forum. Criticize in private message if you must. ShutterPoint will delete spam postings from the Forums.
  • Don't ask people to have a look at your images unless it's relevant to another subject discussed.
  • Don't add noise. When there is nothing to say, there is no need to "bump" the thread.

  • We reserve the right to delete or move (to a more appropriate category) messages which do not follow these guidelines or general Forum Rules.

    Thank you for listening!
