Photographer's Description

The 2010-2011 edition of the Rio de Janeiro's Christmas Tree, a traditional adornment sponsored by the insurance company Bradesco Seguros since 1996. This year's version is 85m high and weighs 530 tons. Almost 3.3 million mini lamps alternate forming many patterns, in a cycle that lasts 2:30min. A carillon plays Christmas songs. This is the world's tallest floating Christmas tree, according to the Guinness Book of World Records.
