Photographer's Description

I got this orchid as a birthday gift about 7 years ago. I took it to work after the cats broke off a flower stem one year and the lady who was cleaning my kitchen broke it off the next year. Somewhere it said that orchids liked a "west" window so . . . off to work it went and it has been rewarding me every year since. The flowers last for weeks so it isn't so bad that it only blooms once or twice a year.
