Photographer's Description

Tiffany glass dome in the Chicago Cultural Center. The 30,000 pieces of glass were used in the renovation last year. The cooper dome was removed and special UV blocking glass was installed. This restored the original feature of having natural light beam though the dome. It was created in 1897 By Louis Comfort. The City runs the building. A combination of government and private donations of $2.2 million dolllars were used.
