Beautiful story-telling. This image really moved me. You might consider adding a touch of brightness and adjusting the color balance, though only slightly. (Seems to lean a little toward magenta.) Also, I'd clean up a few items of debris that don't add to the whole. Overall, though, nicely done.

I like the portrait. Try cropping to have mostly just them, cutting off the side of the chair and the bit of blue sticking out.
