Photographer's Description

This is the harbor at Vinalhaven, Maine. The residents have two main (no pun intended) sources of income; lobster fishing and tourism. The boat in the foreground just came back from emptying its lobster traps and is cleaning up the equipment. I privately call this place Cabot Cove as in the setting of a TV show called "Murder She wrote. I can almost see Jessica Fletcher checking out one of the boats for murder clues.

The gossamer reflections on the boatbows are quite indicative of fine art not to mention the photographic contrasts. It might resemble a G'ma Moses when downsized into minature and slightly over sharpened.
