Photographer's Description

The Liard River Hot Springs are located in a provinical park of the same name in northern British Columbia, Canada on Kilometer 765 (Mile 478) of the Alaska Highway, not far from the Yukon Territory. This is the second largest hot spring in Canada and is accessed via a boardwalk from the highway. Unlike most commercial hot springs, this one is in its natural state as opposed to being in a concrete pool. The vegetation that grows here can only exist because of the microclimate caused by the hot water and steam.
