Photographer's Description

Unusual Geologic rock formations shaped like Toadstools where the park got its name. Toadstool Geologic Park is NW of Crawford, Nebraska - which is about 18 miles west of Chadron, NE and about 50 miles northwest of the western edge of the Nebraska Sandhills. Toadstool Park Area is also called the Nebraska Badlands. Chadron, NE is the home of Chadron State College.

Interesting marked Interpretive hiking trail where you can see effects of the weather over millions of years + some unusual fossil deposits. Remote Western Nebraska Grasslands / Badlands / near Sandhills area. Very peaceful and quiet hike.
