Photographer's Description

Following the success of its small block 265/283 V8 engines in the mid fifties, Chevrolet introduced the big block 348 c.i. engine in 1958, followed by the 409 three years later. Both of these engines had distinctive, scalloped rocker arm covers. This customized 348 lives in a '59 Impala.
