| Photographer's Description |

Springtime in the Cascade Mountains brings lush green vegatation and the rush of spring runoff flowing through many of the creeks and watercourses in the area. I was wandering along this creek when I spotted the bend in the creek and this large boulder holding steadfast against the rushing water. It was so solid that is forced the water to flow around it. How many times have we all needed that kind of strength to anchor us against the many temptations of today's world!

Lush and rich and soothing! Fantastic details. Regarding your description, I went up to Paradise a couple of years ago almost to the day today, to shoot the spring...still covered in about 3 feet of snow! Guess this is at a lower elevation! A winner again Mike. 10

There is something about the lighting in the shot that I really like. I love the vivid green. This is very well composed and exposed. Well done Mike!
