Job 38:30 " When water becomes as cold as stone, and the surface of the watery depths is frozen." A bit of walk long the Naches River before first light led me to this spot of ice and rushing water. I waited for the colors of dawn to reflect off the water and then tried this at several shutter speeds before settling on this as the one with the best texture for moving water. If I walked there tomorrow, no ice would be left. How quickly life and nature can change

I love the cold blue of the ice and water. You have captured the flow of the water through those hard surfaces perfectly.

Excellent sculptural photo. The blue tone is just right -- work of the polarizer and dawn light, eh, not PS -- right? A stone cold beauty.

Mike, what you said about how quickly life and nature can change is so true. The photo beautifully shows us a close-up stream of water flowing between the ice creating an awesome pattern of nature. You used the right shutter speed to capture the movement and the light at just the right moment. 10

The S curve of the flow of the water here is very effective!! The slabs of ice form and interesting pattern.

Love the way the water moves in this and the tone of the brown with the purplish water. Nice how the whole composiiton has a swirling effect.

Gorgeous capture of the deep blue of the water and of the stones and ice amid its rushing. Interesting the way the movement of the water rounds off the edges of the floating ice. Exceptional beauty!

Very beautiful Mike, I was looking at the EXIF data and I find these shots interesting. Jim Round does it with ND filters, you did it with high f/stops and a polarizer. I'll learn.

Another great image Mike! The depth, colors and textures are great. Looks like you can reach out and dip your hand in the icy water. Well done.
