Photographer's Description

Singing Beach gets its name from the sand that "sings" when you walk on it. Actually, reports say that it's more of a "squeak" than a melody, but you get the point. Conditions must be right for this phenomena to occur; not too wet, not too dry, etc. There are many sandy places in the US that exhibit this phenomenon and the more unsettling occurence of "booming" sand. Many are in deserts, so it's not the ocean that's doing it.

Brilliant as ever Chee-Onn... from the blue motion of the sea, to the silhouette and the colour in the sky, wonderful. Just curious, does this work with the horizon moved on to the upper 3rd or do you need the blue part of the sky to balance the sea?

I do find the gente changes of colour throughout the shot very appealing, excellent

This is beautiful Chee-Onn! That "S" flow of the composition is most relaxing and effective here as are the wonderful colors.

Beautiful afterglow in the sky and lovely reflections on the ocean and shallows near the shore. The silhouettes that join the sky and sea are perfect. Excellent.
