Photographer's Description

A grand masterpiece of Spanish Renaissance architecture, The Mount Washington Hotel was a two-year labor of love for 250 master craftsmen. Conceived by industrialist Joseph Stickney, this National Historic Landmark opened in 1902 and immediately became a favorite summer haunt for poets, presidents and princes.

Excellent details and clarity - you can even see the weather towers and buildings on top of Mt Washington!

Lovely definition and lighting on the mountains, and the moon is just great!

Superb photo. If the moon is added, as I suspect, it has been done with great skill. Getting the exposure right must have been a nightmare. Great tecnical wizardry in evidence.

Stunning night scene... the white of the snow, hotel and moon really stand out against the blue sky and silhoutted trees. Breathtaking!

Extremely beautiful... the bright snowy road leading toward the wonderful red-roofed white hotel, backed by the snowy mountain range... all topped by a full moon... couldn't be more inviting. Love the decorated row of lamps, as well. Extraordinary!

What an exposure, nice detail, no noise for a long exposure which is rare, all well done

I think you've got yourself a picture postcard - in the best possible way! Great lighting and detail in the whites. A snowy, well lit landmark site under a deep sky and full moon - what memories captured!

Some more details in the trees would have been great, but overall it is a good picture.
