Eccl 3:1 "There is a time for everything, a season for every activity under heaven." This image was taken a couple of weeks ago. It was not until we revisited this spot on Friday that I found the meaning in this shot. The new snow perched precariously on 2 branches protruding from the lake was there for so brief a time, The afternoon sun would surely melt it, in fact soon the lake will freeze over and snow will bury this for a winter. How brief the moments of our life can be, lets not waste them.

This is my favorite Mike and I would consider this to be your best shot. It is full of feeling and emotional value and well executed. Simple pure and raw beauty. Thanks for sharing your wonder.

Snow shots are some of the hardest to pull off. You've done it with this one though.

Very nice Mike, I like the cloud formation also.

Mike, to capture a moment in life, although retained in our memories, is lost forever in the seasons past. The ancients piled up monuments of stones to remember an event. You digitally record events that contain feeling and memories preserved for our appreciation. Would that we could record smells, tastes and sounds equally as well. I appreciate God's gifting to you. JB

Mike, how about publishing your own nature photography book? This is amazing shot. I have no idea how I missed it. You have many images in portfolio needed to be published on calendars, postcards and in personal book as well. Gona enjoy your photos again, seems to me, I will find a lot...:) 10!

This is a classic piece, with greeting card written all over it. The composition is well done and the lighting over this large area is handled perfectly.
|
|
This is a great winter scene with the lake and the beautiful clouds over the mountain.
|
|
Very beautiful shot Mike. So untouched and you got some nice lenticular clouds going on here. Very nicely done.

Another wonderful composition. The white on white of ice, snow, mountains and clouds really works. The repeated curves really work. X

To look from the icy pond, past the snow-dusted pines, toward the beautiful snow and cloud-covered mountain is a wonderful visual treat, Mike! Extraordinary!
