  • Stock photo: The Pulaski Skyway connecting Jersey City with Newark, New Jersey across the Hackensack and Passaic Rivers just above Newark Bay. The 1933 steel cantilever bridge was featured in the original "War of the Worlds" movie, and it is now undergoing renovation and repair. It is the modern equivalent of an industrial Acropolis welcoming motorists into the metropolitan gateway of New York and New Jersey.
