About Me

As a trained microbiologist, I have had the opportunity to live and work in three different countries (including my native UK), which has probably coloured my outlook on life, as well as given me the opportunity to experience different cultures and see new sights. In addition to that, I have visited a number of cities and towns to attend congresses. I also help to run a computer help site, where I have been exposed to some very good digital art (directly and indirectly). I was initially interested in photography as a teenager, coupling it with other hobbies. I sort of left it behind though when I started to focus more on my career. After several years in the creative doldrums (apart from on holiday), I decided it was about time that I started nurturing my creative side again and bought a Canon EOS 400D (Digital Rebel XTi), then a 40D last August. I may not be able to combine work with a hobby, but at least I might make the odd few pennies. One of my goals is to get back to Norway and Greece to capture some of the scenes I should have captured while living there.
