Started out years ago as "Hobby" Photographer and have evolved from there. Always enjoyed Nature, Wildlife, Scenic, and Landscape Photos and equipment so took some courses thru local community college, read a lot - including some Photography home study books + attended some nature , wildlife, scenic, and landscape photography seminars. Still much to learn - especially on technical aspects of digital. geneseecann.com (note 2 n's) now forwards to my Photo Albums here at ShutterPoint

Cameras: Earlier photos are scans of 35mm shots with Olympus OM-10 and Minolta Maxxum 7000 SLR's + several telephoto lenses for both (did more wildlife when was younger and could hike farther carrying a camera bag with several lenses.) - Then evolved to digital shots done with Canon Powershot A70 - then a Canon Powershot 540A - and most recently a Canon Powershot SX100IS with built in 10x Optical Zoom + Image Stabilization which so far I love. (Would you guess I am a Canon fan?!!). The SX100 IS is a handy "stick in your pocket so you always have it" camera with a lot of features + video.
No current aspirations to be a professional photographer -- altho is exciting when people like your photos enough to actually buy them here at ShutterPoint! Would like to learn to be a very good "Photo Taker" in digital format. Would also like to have more good pictures to post on my Vacation Guide Web Sites for the visitors to enjoy -- and to offer here.
Recently did a web page with "5 Basic Digital Photography Tips" on what have learned in the last 30+ years and taking over 11,000 photos about Scenic and Vacation Photography -- 5 Basic Vacation Photography Tips -- Five Top "Non-Technical" Digital Scenic Photo Tips
