About Me

Professor Emeritus of Earth & Atmospheric Sciences (meteorology/climatology) at a major university. I am an amateur photographer who got into the world of photography because I needed slides to illustrate my lectures. My research and administrative responsibilities have taken me to remote places such as Greenland, China, Tajikistan, Siberia, eastern Europe, Mexico and Honduras. My favorite country for photographic opportunities is Ireland, which dominates my album collections. Ironically, I have uploaded very few weather photos as I am not a storm chaser. I welcome constructive critiques of my photos. In fact, those who follow my albums will note that I often remove photos with flaws that have been pointed out to me, replacing them, hopefully, with better images. Thank you for visiting my sites.
