A summer electrical storm from my parents house! One does wonder how much electricity we could store if we could but harness these evening light shows. Taken on Kodachrome 64 with aperture of f22. The great thing about my old LX was that in Aperture preferred mode you could click and the shutter would stay open up to 4 mins so it was great for lightning shots because it metered the flim plane and would close the shutter when the lightning flashed. 22 yrs old and still going strong that machine!

The great thing about my old LX was that in Aperture preferred mode you could click and the shutter would stay open up to 4 mins so it was great for lightning shots because it metered the flim plane and would close the shutter when the lightning flashed. 22 yrs old and still going strong that machine!

Evidently, there is quite an art to getting these inflated. First they fill them full of cool air with big fans and then careful hit the burners to inflate them further with hot air. They carefully angle the flames so as not to burn the silk!
