  • Stock photo: Took my daughter and a friend to the zoo and was fortunate enough to catch this portrait of Sumatran tiger seemingly not in the best of moods. I am not sure if she spotted all us tourists and realized lunch was out of reach or whether it was just a bad hair day. In any case I was glad I had a 500 mm lens and monopod safely out of harms way to record this angry face. The sad thing is there are less than 200 of these magnificent creatures left in the wild.

  • Stock photo: Psalm 145: 14 " The Lord upholdeth all who fall." When I spotted these two fallen leaves caught on a limb hanging just above the rushing water I was struck by the power of the message. For in life how many times do we fall only to be lifted up by our faith, our friends and or family. There are even times when we are lifted up by complete strangers. While this is probably not the most technically perfect image I have ever taken it certainly reached my heart like none other. I hope you enjoy.

  • Stock photo: Eccl 3:1 "There is a time for everything, a season for every activity under heaven." This image was taken a couple of weeks ago. It was not until we revisited this spot on Friday that I found the meaning in this shot. The new snow perched precariously on 2 branches protruding from the lake was there for so brief a time, The afternoon sun would surely melt it, in fact soon the lake will freeze over and snow will bury this for a winter. How brief the moments of our life can be, lets not waste them.

  • Stock photo: An infrared photograph of a lagoon backwater of the River Murray reveals a haunted evening as the sun sets on the skeletal trees inhabited by galahs and pelicans alike. The trails of a pelican are evident to discerning eyes, as the long exposure hides the frantic evening activity behind the bronzing of the duotoning presentation selected.

  • Stock photo: Psalm 147:16 He sends snow like white wool; he scatters frost upon the ground like ashes." Taken at the top of Chinook Pass which will close shortly. I went for a bit of walk in the thigh deep snow. (I am going to have to get some snowshoes) I was blessed with a pristine day with a just a few lenticular clouds forming over Mt. Rainier. The upper lake was almost frozen over with just this little stream leading into it unthawed. I was struck my the peace and tranquility of this quiet scene
