Visual Appearance
Notice anything different? The site has been re-designed to make the user experience as easy as can be. If you haven't seen it yet, check out the site now! Be assured that you will find all your favorite features without any effort on the new interface.
Some of the things we changed:
- Home page is officially uncluttered.
- Image Search is now prominently available on all pages.
- ShutterPoint Blog (which was launched in November) is accessible from the Learning section.
- My Account section totally revamped.
Batch Upload Functionality
Uploading your images in bulk is now super easy! The new batch upload functionality will allow you to upload as many files as you want in a
single step. Give it a try - click the "Upload" link, and select the "Batch Upload" tab (Adobe Flash player 9 is required). To streamline your workflow, keyword and describe your images before upload using IPTC - the site picks up the metadata embedded in image files.
Standard Licensing for Images
Standard Licensing for images is now available. In addition to Full Licensing, which was available before, you may now offer both types of licensing for any images in your collection.
We strongly encourage members to offer Standard Licensing. Standard Licensing is the main type of licensing purchased by image buyers today. We'd like you to enter this exciting growing market and compete for image sales in this category.
If you still have not turned on Standard Licensing for your images, there are two ways to do it.
a. Opt in for Standard Licensing for ALL of your images. (You can always opt-out on image by image basis from Album Manager)
b. Go to Album Manager, select "Manage as Table" next to the album name. Scroll over to "Licensing" column and pick and choose which images will offer both Standard and Full Licensing.
ShutterPoint has introduced informative guides to help the image buyer select the correct licensing based on their project needs. The licensing wizard conveys image usage options and helps protect your images from being misused.
Slideshows
Members' images and albums now can be viewed as either a set of thumbnails or as an interactive sllideshow. To try it, navigate to your images and select "View Slideshow" link at the top right. Switch between "View as Thumbnails" and "View Slideshow" as you like.
